West Oak Medical is pleased to announce the addition of 2 Neurologists to the team.

Dr. Yael Friedman, MSc, MD, FRCPC

With 8 years of clinical practice, Dr Friedman, completed medical school at the University of Toronto and pursued Neurology residency training at the University of Toronto. She holds a certification in Adult Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She has a Neuromuscular focus having completed a one-year fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders and Electromyography at the University of Toronto and holds certification from the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists, Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Friedman’s neurology practice appreciates referrals for all neuromuscular disorders and general neurology. She can perform electrodiagnostic tests including nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) She has special interests in:
*Carpal Tunnel syndrome and other Focal Neuropathies
*Cervical and Lumbar Radiculopathies
*Polyneuropathies
*Neuromuscular Junction Disorders
*Motor Neuron Disorders

Dr Anita M. Dayal, MBBS, FRCPC

Originally from Mississauga, Dr. Dayal’s post-graduate training includes a B.Sc Honours from Queen’s University in Life Sciences. She is a medical graduate of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK. She completed her residency at Western University in London, Ontario and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Dayal has special interest in Secondary Stroke Prevention, having a recent sub-specialty training in Stroke Neurology at McMaster University in Hamilton.
